Features

Seven tools. One app. No more juggling five programs.

Each tool handles one job DJs do every week, from sorting music to stepping on stage.

01

Label music your way

No more replaying every track to file it away. Give it a few sorted folders, it analyzes every trait of every track and labels the thousands that are left. Teach it once, it remembers. Included in Premium.

  • Your own labels Name them anything, make as many as you want. Each label is a folder of sample tracks.
  • Teach once, it remembers Add a label and TaxonomyDJ analyzes and learns on its own. New music gets sorted to your taste from then on.
  • Suggestions with a confidence score Each track gets a suggested label and a Confidence score. Tracks that fit no label are flagged.

02

BPM, key, and Camelot detection

Downloaded tags missing or wrong? Every track gets BPM, key, Camelot code, and loudness, over 100 tracks a minute. BPM 98.9% accurate, key 90.7% on a real library. Free, with no track limit.

  • Free on every plan No track limit, and keeps working after Premium expires.
  • Color-coded Camelot Camelot codes are colored around the Camelot wheel, so you see what fits at a glance.
  • Find what mixes next Right-click a track to filter harmonic matches, or tracks with a similar BPM.

Audio quality checks

A fake FLAC hides on small speakers and shows up on a big rig. Drag files into the Inspector tab, and TaxonomyDJ tells you plainly which are upscaled and which clip.

  • Catches upscaled files Files that claim high quality but came from a poor source are clearly flagged.
  • Clipping warning Tracks pushed too loud, likely to distort at their peak, are flagged.
  • Full-track spectrogram Zoom in to look closely, hover to read the values.

Duplicate finder

Music from many sources ends up as one track in five places under five names. TaxonomyDJ compares the audio content, not just the filename, and keeps the best-quality copy.

  • Compares audio content Spots duplicates even after renaming or retagging.
  • Three ways to match By audio content, filename, or title. Any match puts files in the same group.
  • Folder priority Choose which folders to keep and which to clean up first.

Batch tag editor

Messy filenames, empty titles, keys written five different ways? Fix tags, cover art, and filenames in bulk, even for folders you never added to the app. Always preview before you save. Included in Premium.

  • Edit many tracks at once Select a batch and edit once. Fields you do not touch stay as they are.
  • Build your own action groups Drag Camelot, BPM, and the filename into slots and see the result on a real track right away. Save it as a group to reuse.
  • Rename files from tags For example “8A - 128 - Track name.mp3”. Split filenames back into tags too.

Player, EQ, and spectrum

No extra software to spot a drop or try an EQ. Waveform, spectrum, and EQ sit together, and switching tabs never stops the music. All of it free.

  • Color waveform Colored by lows, mids, and highs, so drops and breakdowns stand out.
  • Real-time spectrum 95 bands from deep bass to top highs, moving with every beat and flaring at the peaks.
  • Parametric EQ Drag points right on the spectrum to boost or cut any band, or use a familiar 10-band EQ.

  • 25 visual styles Tunnel, aurora, fireworks, DNA helix, even a lucky cat waving on the beat…
  • 6 effects Stack them: Psychedelic, Cosmos, Beat bounce, Six-way mirror…
  • Video backgrounds Pick a video on your computer as the background. It is remembered next time.
